Citrus Oils make the perfect addition to homemade household cleaners for their deodorizing and disinfecting properties; leaving your house with a beautiful, uplifting aroma of clean!

This spring, skip the harsh chemical cleaners and make your own with these super easy recipes that use common household items!

Spring Cleaning Spray

Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle and give a good shake before each use. You can also try replacing a few drops of any of the citrus oils with Eucalyptus or Peppermint Essential Oil!

Wooden Furniture Polish

Mix in a small jar or bottle and apply to a microfibre cloth for polishing. Use on natural wood only (not varnished).

Be sure to test a small area first.

Fridge Odor Remover

In a bowl whisk the Essential Oils into the baking soda. Divide the mixture into two fine mesh cloths and tie each into a bundle. Place one on the top shelf and one on the bottom shelf of the fridge.

Gel Bathroom Cleanser

Blend in a squeeze bottle and shake very well. Use in the shower, bathtub, sinks, or add a squeeze to hot water in a mop bucket for the floors.

Window & Mirror Cleaner

Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle. The rubbing alcohol will prevent streaks on the windows.

Citrus Toilet Scrub

Mix in a squeeze bottle. Squeeze inside the toilet, scrub and let stand for 15-30 minutes before rinsing.

Please note:

Always dilute essential oils before using. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; if this happens, rinse thoroughly with vegetable oil (not water). Citrus Essential Oils are considered sensitizing, as well as phototoxic. If you have broken, irritated, or sensitive skin, do not use. Do not expose the applied area to the sun for 24 to 48 hours after application.
